Campaigns
A campaign collects video from people who can’t join a live session. You write a prompt, send it out, and each person records their answer on their own time. Their recordings land in your cloud library like any other take.
Useful for listener questions, guest intros, testimonials, panel contributions, and anything else where scheduling everyone at once isn’t realistic.
Availability: Campaigns run from a Studio, so they’re a Team feature.
How it works
- Create a campaign in your studio — give it a title and a prompt
- Set a deadline (optional) in your timezone
- Add contacts — the people you want to hear from
- Capturly emails the invitation, with reminders if you enable them
- Each person records in their browser, locally, with no account
- Submissions arrive in your library as they come in
Setting up a campaign
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Title | Names the campaign in your dashboard |
| Prompt | The question or brief the respondent sees before they record |
| Prompt recording | Optionally record yourself asking the question, so respondents see and hear you rather than reading text |
| Deadline | When submissions close, in a timezone you choose |
| Max duration | Caps how long a single response can run — 10 minutes by default |
| Open link | Lets anyone with the link submit, not just invited contacts |
| Release | Requires respondents to agree to your consent/release text before recording |
| Reminders | Sends follow-ups to contacts who haven’t responded |
Limits
These guardrails protect your sending reputation and keep a campaign bounded.
| Limit | Value |
|---|---|
| Contacts per campaign | 500 |
| Contacts per import request | 100 |
| Emails per contact, per campaign | 3 |
| Campaign emails per workspace per day | 200 |
| Open-link submissions per campaign | 50 |
| Open campaigns per studio | 10 |
| Response length — default | 10 minutes |
| Response length — maximum | 30 minutes |
Raising any of these is a support conversation rather than a setting.
What respondents experience
A respondent clicks the link, reads (or watches) your prompt, agrees to the release if you required one, and records in their browser. They need no account and no download, and capture is local to their machine just as it is in a live session — a weak connection doesn’t degrade their recording.
Respondents can also unsubscribe from a campaign’s emails, and that choice is honoured across future sends.
Managing submissions
The campaign page shows who’s been invited, who has responded, and what’s still outstanding, along with a preview of each submission. Completed submissions are promoted into your library on the same 30-day clock as everything else, so download anything you want to keep.
